CALINE

version 3.1, 2004

CALROADS is a software that includes CALINE4, CAL3QHC and CAL3QHCR, the most recent line source models, developed by CALTRANS and US EPA.

This traffic dispersion model is recommended by the US EPA to calculate atmospheric pollutants concentration in the vicinity of a roadway at a maximum distance of 500 meters from the road axis. It is a Gaussian model, and applies the “mixing zone” concept (homogeneous turbulence and emission) to characterize the emission dispersion on the roadway.
